Picnic Berry Pie

Is there anything sweeter than the sight of young children sitting in a field on a blanket in summer enjoying picnic fare? Of course, all picnics are better with pie. This one is the taste of sunshine, summer, and endless days of fun.

TOPPING

1 1⁄2 sticks butter

1⁄2 cup sugar

1⁄2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 13/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/8 teaspoon salt

Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla, flour, and salt together, forming a crumble.

PIE

1 pint fresh blueberries

2 pints fresh chopped strawberries 1 pint raspberries

1⁄4 cup tapioca

1 tablespoon butter

1⁄2 cup sugar

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Combine berries with sugar and tapioca. Step 3: Dice butter into small cubes.

Step 4: Dot cubed butter over berries.

Step 5: Distribute crumble over pie.

Step 6: Bake 1 hour or until bubbly.

Step 7: Allow to cool before serving
