Apple Tart

This easy apple tart with puff pastry is a simple and elegant dessert perfect for Easter, spring brunch, or everyday baking. Made with apples, butter, and apricot glaze.

INGREDIENTS

1 sheet all-butter puff pastry

3–4 apples, peeled and thinly sliced into narrow “moon” shapes

½ cup apricot preserves

1–2 teaspoons water (or rum, optional)

4 tablespoons butter, diced

½ cup sugar

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the puff pastry on top.

Step 2: Peel and slice the apples into thin, even slices.

Step 3: Arrange the apples over the puff pastry in overlapping rows to create a simple pattern.

Step 4: Warm the apricot preserves in the microwave until smooth. Stir in a small amount of water (or rum) to thin slightly.

Step 5: Brush the apricot mixture over the apples.

Step 6: Scatter small pieces of butter evenly across the tart.

Step 7: Sprinkle sugar generously over the top.

Step 8: Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender but not mushy.

Step 9: Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with ice cream or enjoy as a lightly sweet breakfast treat.
